This is Drink Local Drink Tap's 12th annual 4 Miles 4 Water! But why 4 Miles you ask? It's the average distance someone walks to collect water every day throughout the world. This is not just another run, it's a unique event that combines environmental and social justice with water education activities and fundraising opportunities, as well as a lot of fun! This event helps support DLDT's many programs related to water equity and stewardship, which include beach cleanups, environmental education for youth, and drilling wells in Uganda. Lots of volunteer positions are runner/walker friendly- meaning you can both volunteer and run/walk in 4 Miles 4 Water.

Drink Local. Drink Tap. Inc. TM is a non profit organization that inspires individuals to recognize and solve our water issues through creative education, events and providing safe water access to people in need.
Description
Since 2010, Drink Local. Drink Tap., Inc.(tm) has been creatively reconnecting people to water through video, photography, and art to educate and engage youth, communities, and people of all socio-economic backgrounds about the importance of caring for the water we put into our bodies and the water that surrounds us. Our Wavemaker Program in schools, monthly beach cleanups, 4 Miles 4 Water event, Annual Splash Party, safe water access projects in east Africa and multimedia projects all which aim to both educate and inspire people everywhere to care for our shared water and help people who suffer from a lack of access to safe water.
