Little Tokyo Service Center is currently seeking volunteer support in digital event marketing for our upcoming annual fundraiser (Sake in the Park) on July 18, 2025. Volunteers will work with LTSC’s Marketing & Communications team to execute a marketing plan including social media content creation, local ad placements, influencer marketing, data analysis, and more.
This volunteer opportunity is short-term through July 18, 2025 with flexible hours. Must commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week. Must be able to work from Little Tokyo on occasion. POSITION IS FLEXIBLE; PLEASE INQUIRE IF YOU’RE INTERESTED, BUT CAN’T MEET THE FULL REQUIREMENTS.
Tasks may include:
- Creating social media content (graphics, videos, etc.) to generate ticket sales and educate about LTSC’s mission
- Developing and monitoring digital ads across LTSC channels including Google ads and Meta
- Finding, pursuing and executing opportunities for local ad placements and calendar listings
- Executing an influencer marketing strategy to boost event promotion and reach via food/drink or AAPI affinity groups
- Tracking multi-channel performance data
We’re looking for volunteers who:
- Have previous experience in event marketing, digital marketing, advertisement, media relations, and/or social media marketing
- Can commit to 4 hours of hybrid work per week until July 18, 2025
- Want to give back to the community by sharing their skills! Proceeds from Sake in the Park support LTSC’s programs and operations across affordable housing, social services, homeless services, child development, resident services, Little Tokyo preservation, and more.
This is a great chance to apply digital marketing strategies in a real-life situation and learn from direct consumer feedback under the guidance of a nonprofit marketing team.
Students may request letters and certificates of completion for school credit if appropriate for their program. Workers may also request tracked hours and a certificate of completion for community volunteer programming hours.
