Join the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department for another large-scale trail volunteer event. Volunteers of all experience levels are invited to learn about trail restoration while working on two of the community's most-loved trails. Tools, instruction, and lunch will be provided!

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
8:15a.m. Meet at Cold Spring Elementary School (2243 Sycamore Canyon Road) for safety orientation and instruction
9:00 a.m. Depart for trail worksites
1:00 p.m. Return to Cold Spring Elementary School for a picnic lunch to celebrate your hard work!
TRAILS
Cold Spring Trail, Ridge Trail, and West Fork.
SAFETY
Volunteers must attend the safety orientation provided at the start of the day to participate in trail work. Tasks will be assigned based on skill level.
WHAT TO WEAR
Sturdy closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, and long pants to protect from poison oak
WHAT TO BRING
Water, sunscreen, snacks, gloves, and bike helmet
PARTNERS
This event is held in partnership with Santa Barbara County, US Forest Service, Montecito Trails Foundation, Los Padres Forest Association, and Sage Trail Alliance.

Description
The Parks and Recreation Department manages a diverse and unique park and recreation system including nearly 2,000 acres of parkland encompassing 60 developed and open space parks, beaches, recreation and sports facilities and community forest. The Creeks Restoration and Water Quality Improvement Program implements clean water and restoration projects citywide.
Volunteer opportunities include special projects, events and public outreach campaigns. We look forward to working with you.
