ORGANIZATION: HARAMBE SOCIAL SERVICES INC

  • Spots available: 2

Harambe Social Services, Inc. will participate in two upcoming Juneteenth events where your help will really make a difference. We often come across people in need of our life-saving services at community events because it is open to the public and easily accessible.

The first event is on June 19th. The second event is on June 21st and additional details for that event are pending. Volunteers are asked to commit at least 2 hours of their time at one or both events and assist with the following:

  1. Set-up and Take Down: Help us set up our table(s) and materials before the event starts and pack up once it concludes.

  2. Information Sharing: Engage with attendees by providing information about our services, distribute materials or giveaway items, and provide information on how to confidentially complete an intake if in need of services.

  3. Donation Assistance: Encourage attendees to support our mission by explaining how their contributions helps Harambe provide safe emergency housing for survivors and their children, who are fleeing abusive households.
