The mission of SafeHomes is to transform victims of domestic violence into survivors. We believe that every person has the right to live without fear and that no one deserves to be abused. Through advocacy, we respect the intrinsic value of each client, regardless of where they are in their journey. Through education, we help end the cycle of violence, one family at a time. And through awareness, we empower our community to take a stand against domestic violence and support victims as they transform their lives into survivors.
Description
SafeHomes is committed to ending domestic violence through advocacy, awareness and education. We understand the need for each client to be treated with respect, dignity and understanding, and have an array of highly-specialized and comprehensive services to assist victims, regardless of the stage they are at on their journey. All services are completely free and completely confidential.As one of 46 state-certified domestic violence centers in Georgia, we provide services to victims throughout the East Central Georgia region of Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren and Wilkes counties.
