We are Mentor A Promise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing social emotional learning, academic support, and mentorship services to students experiencing housing challenges and homelesseness in NYC.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assists the program director in developing and implementing program strategies and objectives
  2. Oversees and manages project timelines, resources and ensuring projects are completed
  3. Provides leadership and guidance to program staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  4. Manages relationshipswith internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers, partners and others
  5. Prepares reports and presentations, communicating program progress and outcomes to relevant stakeholders
  6. Ensures that programs and projects adhere to quality standards and best practices
  7. Oversees the collection and analysis of data to inform program design and evaluation
  8. Identifies and manages potential risks to program success
  9. Assists in the development and management of program performance

Description

We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success. We connect students with our mentors for in-person and online programs.
