Love cats and dogs? Then you know how important pets are in our lives. We are seeking volunteers who would like to help keep pets and their people together when they need each other the most. When patients enter hospice care, the needs of their pets can be overlooked. As a volunteer with the Pet Peace of Mind (PPoM) program offered by ACG Hospice, you can partiipate in assuring the health and happiness of both the pet and the pet parent. Our volunteer activities are diverse and numerous, ranging from walking a dog to driving a pet to a vet or grooming appointment, from cleaing up after pets to giving one-on-one attention to a pet that may be confused by all the changes going on around she or he. Some PPoM volunteer duties include patient contact, whereas others are limited to pet care such as temporary fostering or assisting with pet rehoming. Following your hospice and PPoM training, we will work with your schedule and match your duties with your interests. Join us and help make the world a kinder place.
