Position Type: Fully remote

Estimated Time Commitment: 2 hours/week, flexible and may vary

Qualifications

• Education or experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Familiarity with bookkeeping and financial reporting.

• Commitment to DC Coding’s mission and values.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Wave, Excel) is an asset.

• Understanding of nonprofit accounting is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software or spreadsheets.

• Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal use and external stakeholders.

• Budget Management: Assist in creating and monitoring budgets for various programs and initiatives.

• Compliance: Ensure financial practices align with nonprofit regulations and assist in preparing for audits if needed.

• Process Improvement: Recommend and help implement efficient accounting procedures.
