ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

"Fort Washington, you don't look a year over 216!" "Thanks! I just had some work done."

Help preserve a centuries-old historical landmark on April 26 by volunteering at Fort Washington Park! You'll have the option to pull weeds from walls, paint railings and other support structures, and repair porches, all to keep the fort looking fresh.

Once parked, head into the fort itself to meet NPS staff at the Officer's Quarters (the first building inside the fort) at 10:00 AM. There, you'll get oriented, choose a task, receive instructions, and set out with your group to start working. Following the event, join a special ranger-led tour of the fort to learn all about its rich history!

Sign up to be part of this engaging event today and get ready to put your hands to work!
