Mission Statement

Our mission is to deliver and activate a 120-acre, world-class linear park spanning 10-miles below Miami’s Metrorail that will transform regional mobility and celebrate diversity, culture and lifelong learning. Through innovative urban trails and creative programming, we are connecting people to their environment and each other to create a safe, healthy, equitable, and sustainable community. Our Core Values: Diversity & Inclusivity, Technology & Innovation, Health & Wellness, Sustainability & Resiliency, Safety & Mobility, Connectivity, and Fun

Description

Our History
The Underline was born in 2014 after Founder Meg Daly broke both arms in a bike accident. While walking to therapy beneath Miami’s Metrorail, she noticed the untapped potential of the space. Inspired by NYC’s High Line, she envisioned a vibrant park & community hub. Passionate locals joined the grassroots Friends of The Underline to create safer, greener spaces in a city ranked among the most dangerous for walking and biking.

Programs

The Underline continues to grow as a hub for community engagement, expanding its events & programs to create unforgettable experiences for all. From UYoga and Family Day to Day in the Dirt, the Farmer’s Market, and Jr. Heat Skills & Drills, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And this is just the beginning-many more events take place throughout the year, with even more to come as we complete Phase 3! Stay tuned for exciting new ways to connect, move, and thrive at The Underline.
