ORGANIZATION: SOLANO COUNTY FRIENDS OF ANIMALS

Do you love both cats and people? Do you love to engage with those around you? We hold adoption events at Pet Food Express in Benicia on Saturdays and would like to start on Sundays as well. We need volunteers to staff these events for 3-4 hours/day (depending on the day).
Tasks:

• help setup (setting up crates with small litter boxes, food, water and small bed inside),
• help foster parents put their foster kitties into crates when they bring them to the event,
• during the event, talk to adopters about the kitties and answer questions about the adoption process and the rescue group policies and procedures,
• talk to and dote over the kitties to help them feel comfortable at the event,
• do whatever other tasks are needed to help the event run smoothly,
• at the end, help with breakdown by putting away everything including the tables, crates, food, etc.

Hopefully candidates for this position are outgoing, have excellent people skills and are good at talking up something, in this case beautiful kitties needing loving forever homes. Good organization and self-starter skills are desired. A commitment of at least 6 months and ability to volunteer for at least 2 shifts in a month is highly desired.
