Looking for a low-pressure way to give back outdoors? I Want To Mow Your Lawn Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping those who can't afford or physically manage lawn care-primarily veterans, older adults, and low-income households. Whether it's basic mowing or light landscaping, we connect volunteers with pre-screened homeowners who need a hand.
Volunteers help on their own schedule with simple yard work tasks like mowing, trimming, and blowing leaves. Whether you come equipped or not, your presence and heart matter more than anything. All homeowners are vetted, and you're automatically covered by our volunteer accident insurance to ensure peace of mind.
We provide leads based on your ZIP code and availability. And while we offer a convenient optional dashboard to log hours and track your efforts, participation is completely up to you.
For those who actively volunteer, we offer thoughtful thank-you perks: custom t-shirts, hats, lawn signs, tool upgrades, business cards, official email accounts, and even phone extensions to help you stay connected and represent the mission with pride.
As a fully volunteer-run nonprofit, we proudly reinvest every dollar back into helping you make an even greater impact. Sign up now and join a national network of good people doing great things.

Description

I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID: 85-3447661) that connects homeowners in need with a nationwide network of passionate landscaping volunteers. Launched in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide completely free lawn care services to seniors over 65, military veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those facing financial challenges, while prioritizing eco-friendly practices and fostering community connection.

Founded by Brian Schwartz after being laid off from his digital advertising job, the initiative began as a way to stay engaged during a difficult time. It has since grown into a thriving platform with over 1,300 volunteers across the USA and even some enlisted in other countries. With their help, we've revitalized countless yards, spreading kindness one lawn at a time.

Thanks to support from leading battery-powered equipment manufacturers and recognition in major media outlets, I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) has become a growing, trademarked brand. Our mission connects the dots between homeowners and volunteers, offering relief while encouraging neighbors to lend a hand and make a difference. Whether it's trimming, edging, or just showing up to say hello, our volunteers help transform neighborhoods into stronger, greener communities.

Join us in this growing movement. Whether as a volunteer or supporter, your involvement helps us expand our reach and bring smiles to even more homes.
