The Graceful Futures Society is dedicated to empowering teen girls exposed to domestic violence through education, mentorship, and community support. We are looking for three dynamic individuals based in Georgia to join our Board of Directors and help drive our mission of girl empowerment forward. As a board member, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the organization, influencing strategic decisions, and ensuring that we are making a meaningful impact on the lives of the young women we serve.
We are seeking individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Nonprofit management
Fundraising and donor relations
Mental health and wellness
Domestic violence advocacy and support
Education, especially in social-emotional learning (SEL)
Community outreach and partnerships
Girl empowerment and advocacy
What you can expect as a board member:
Participate in quarterly board meetings and strategic planning sessions
Collaborate with a passionate team of advocates working toward long-term impact
Contribute your expertise to further the mission and sustainability of The Graceful Futures Society
Help empower the next generation of resilient young women
Make a tangible difference in the lives of teen girls facing adversity
Time Commitment:
Board members are expected to dedicate time to the following:
Quarterly Board Meetings: Attend 4 meetings per year (virtual or in-person) to discuss the organization's progress, financials, strategic direction, and other key matters.
Strategic Planning Sessions: Participate in annual planning sessions to help set goals and strategies for the upcoming year.
Committee Involvement: Depending on your area of expertise, you may be asked to participate in subcommittees that focus on fundraising, outreach, or specific program development. This may involve additional time commitments of 1-3 hours per month.
Occasional Special Projects: Board members may be asked to contribute to one-time initiatives such as fundraising events, partnerships, or awareness campaigns.

The Graceful Futures Society (GFS) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on the current well-being and future of pre-teen girls and beyond, particularly exposed to domestic violence.
Description
Our Goals:
Lessen the impact of early exposure to domestic violence for teen girls through educational support alongside emotional and other forms of well-being support.
Decrease the likelihood of teen girls exposed to domestic violence from repeating the DV cycle for a better future.
Increasing the self-esteem and overall positive self-view of teen girls exposed to domestic violence.
Establish a budding safe and empowering community that supports teen girls exposed and in turn, allows them to pay it forward to new members
