Join the movement that started with one lawn and grew into a national nonprofit: I Want To Mow Your Lawn Inc. We connect generous volunteers like you with neighbors who are aging, disabled, or simply going through a tough time and need help with basic lawn care and landscaping.
You'll never have to go it alone-we provide vetted homeowner leads in your area and protect you with volunteer accident insurance at no cost. Flexible scheduling means there's zero pressure and full freedom-you help when it works for you. All we ask is that you show up with a good attitude and a willingness to make a difference.
If you have a mower or trimmer, great-but if not, many homeowners have their own you can use. And for our regularly active volunteers, we offer a variety of meaningful thank-you upgrades: branded t-shirts and hats, lawn signs, equipment upgrades, official email addresses, business cards, and even phone extensions.
We provide an optional dashboard to help volunteers track service and hours, but it's never required. Everything we receive-from donations to partnerships-is reinvested back into the mission to support your efforts and grow our impact.
Be part of something green and good-sign up now and help transform lives and lawns.

Mission Statement

To preserve dignity, enable independence and build community by providing eco-friendly essential lawn service for the elderly, veterans and others in need.

Description

I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID: 85-3447661) that connects homeowners in need with a nationwide network of passionate landscaping volunteers. Launched in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide completely free lawn care services to seniors over 65, military veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those facing financial challenges, while prioritizing eco-friendly practices and fostering community connection.

Founded by Brian Schwartz after being laid off from his digital advertising job, the initiative began as a way to stay engaged during a difficult time. It has since grown into a thriving platform with over 1,300 volunteers across the USA and even some enlisted in other countries. With their help, we've revitalized countless yards, spreading kindness one lawn at a time.

Thanks to support from leading battery-powered equipment manufacturers and recognition in major media outlets, I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) has become a growing, trademarked brand. Our mission connects the dots between homeowners and volunteers, offering relief while encouraging neighbors to lend a hand and make a difference. Whether it's trimming, edging, or just showing up to say hello, our volunteers help transform neighborhoods into stronger, greener communities.

Join us in this growing movement. Whether as a volunteer or supporter, your involvement helps us expand our reach and bring smiles to even more homes.
