We are looking for certified divers (minimum Open Water certification) to join our coral restoration team in Kapitu Village, North Sulawesi. Volunteers will work alongside Manengkel Solidaritas staff to carry out regular monitoring and maintenance of transplanted coral reefs.

Our coral structures have been environmentally modified to support reef recovery and promote biodiversity. As a volunteer, you will assist in underwater monitoring dives, clean coral structures, document coral health, and help maintain restoration tables or artificial reef units. This program contributes directly to the ecological recovery of damaged coral areas and helps engage the local community in marine conservation.

Volunteers must be comfortable diving in open water and have a strong commitment to marine protection. Additional training and guidance will be provided by our experienced team.

Description

Manengkel Solidaritas is a grassroots NGO based in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, founded with the vision of empowering local communities through environmental conservation and sustainable development. Since its establishment, our organization has focused on protecting marine and coastal ecosystems, such as mangroves and coral reefs, while promoting eco-friendly tourism and strengthening community resilience.

Our key programs include mangrove and coral reef restoration, environmental education for youth and schools, capacity-building for local communities, biodiversity monitoring, and tree-planting in watershed and conservation areas. We have worked closely with schools, fishermen groups, local governments, and international volunteers to build awareness and implement impactful programs.
