Volunteer with Joy Card Project to FACILITATE elementary schools, groups or corporate offices to make cheerful cards for senior citizens in nursing homes or assisted living facilities! Then deliver the cards to a local senior nursing home or assisted living facility.

Why: Every card you make matters and makes a huge impact! Remember: Small gestures make a big impact in a seniors life.

Who: Joy Card Project's mission is to provide cards of joy to seniors citizens living in senior facilities to fight depression, one Joy Card at a time.

What to Expect: It's very simple. You ask a school or your work place to make cheerful cards for senior citizens and deliver the Joy Cards to any local senior citizen facility (ex. senior assisted living, nursing care, memory care etc.) Make 1 Joy Card or 100 Joy Cards! You can set your goal to any number of cards, but to get your started in initiating the Joy Card Project at your organization, lets set the bar high at 100 JOY CARDS! Then, deliver the cards to seniors by making a quick drop off at the front desk of your local senior facility. If the facility allows, you can arrange to hand deliver the cards to seniors for an even greater impact!

What's Required:

Time commitment is flexible and no end date.

Facilitate your school or your office to make the cards when convenient and schedule a delivery to a senior citizen facility of your choice.

Must be NEAT, COLORFUL and CHEERFUL- 4 or more colors on each card

Mission Statement

Joy Card Project's mission is to provide cards of joy to seniors citizens living in senior facilities to fight depression, one Joy Card at a time.

Description

We need caring volunteers to make cheerful cards with uplifting messages for senior citizens. Then volunteers will deliver the cards to a senior citizen facility (ex. assisted living, memory care facility, senior centers, et.) using the Joy Card Project cover sheet and information page printout found on our website at https://sites.google.com/view/joycardprojectnonprofit/volunteer-opportunities. Send photos of the cards and the facility they were delivered to so we can feature you on our website and/or instagram page @joy_card_project .

Individuals can make one card or groups can make a hundred cards. We firmly believe in the transformative power of small gestures, recognizing that even the simplest acts of kindness can make a lasting impact. No kind act is too small. Even ONE card can make all the difference in someone's life.
