Volunteer with Uhuru Foods & Pies in our food booth at Earth Day 365 at Forest Park. Our volunteer team will be serving a 100% vegan menu of African Comfort Food to support black self-determination programs.

As a project of the Black Power Blueprint, Uhuru Foods & Pies is supporting the Uhuru Bakery & Cafe to bring good food to a food desert, along with jobs and pride.

REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
  • Must be at least 16
  • 3 -7 hours per shift
  • NO Training required. Just a passion for social justice. Dress guidelines - closed toed shoes, clothes that you don't mind getting food on, no tank tops. Tie hair back and/or wear a hat, we will provide aprons and hats.
