We are Mentor A Promise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to working with students experiencing housing challenges and homelessness. We provide social emotional learning, academic support and mentoring services. We are looking for an Employee Relations Director to help our organization grow.
Supervisory Responsibilities:- Trains, hires, and oversees the work of volunteers and Mentors.
- Supervises and directs the development of in-service volunteers and Mentors.
- Ensures compliance with human resource policies and procedures by volunteers and Mentors.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Leads and facilitates the volunteer relations program and related functions.
- Maintains, develops, recommends, and implements program objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Develops and pursues new goals and objectives for improvement in areas of volunteers and Mentors relations.
- Communicates with volunteers regarding support staff relations concerns; provides guidance and recommendations for resolution of issues.
- Assists managers and supervisors in understanding and implementing company policies related to performance, discipline, and related topics.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of human resources and labor relations principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent management skills.
