Responsibilities include ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of the board of directors by organizing meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Meeting Management:
- Scheduling and Inviting: Organizing and scheduling board meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring timely distribution of meeting materials.
- Facilitating Meetings: Ensuring meetings are conducted efficiently and effectively, following established procedures and protocols.
- Minute-Taking: Accurately recording meeting minutes, including decisions made and actions taken.
- Distribution of Minutes: Distributing meeting minutes to board members and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

- Maintaining Records: Maintaining accurate and organized records of board meetings, minutes, and other relevant documents.
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring that all records are maintained in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Storing Documents: Ensuring that all official documents are stored securely and are easily accessible.

- Advising the Board: Providing guidance and advice to the board on matters of corporate governance and compliance.

We are a volunteer led organization that encourages input from our families to guide us in the programs we offer. Through community outreach we will fund and build an adaptive park where these programs will take place.
Description
Playmakers is a volunteer-led organization that offers baseball, basketball, and dance programs for kids and young adults with disabilities in Long Beach CA and surrounding areas. Along with our goal to bring the disabled and typical community together, we aim to build an adaptive park for our families that includes an accessible baseball field, multifunction facility to house our basketball, and dance programs along with other services for our families, an accessible playground, and an accessible splash pad. We continuously poll our families to determine which additional programs we can offer to meet their needs.
