On this Earth Day, April 22, 2025, come help Shenandoah National Park Respond to human impacts!
Social trails were discovered in a northern section of Shenandoah National Park. Volunteers are asked to help return the area to a natural condition. Guided by park staff, volunteers will use their hands and light tools to move branches, leaves, and other natural materials to camouflage the human impacts. These efforts will help prevent further habitat destruction and encourage responsible trail usage.
The event will begin near the Front Royal Entrance station at 2:00pm and finish by 5:30pm. Tools and PPE will be provided. Be sure to bring a water bottle, closed toed shoes, and weather appropriate clothing.
