Calling High School Students! Collect Volunteer Hours! Stock Food Pantry
ORGANIZATION: Midtown Family Services
Please visit the new page to apply.

Volunteers needed to:
- assist with unloading the donated food we distribute from the vehicles that picked it up from the area groceries or the Second Harvest of Silicon Valley warehouse,
- carting the food into the Midtown Family Services' office,
- weighing the food,
- putting the food onto shelves or into a refrigerator or freezer, then...
- cleaning up after the initial rush of neighbors in need have passed through, and...
- carting the waste cardboard out to the recycling bin.
Please be aware that though we ask volunteers to arrive by 8:30am, the food pickup team sometimes does arrive after that, particularly when donations are unusually large. If the food pickup team is late, just wait for us. The food pickup rarely arrives later than 8:45am.
The ability to speak a second language, particularly Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus.
