AccentCare Hospice and Palliative Care (Formerly known as Seasons Hospice) is currently seeking a dog (and it's person!) to join our Loyal Friends Pet Team. These special volunteers are needed to provide a little companionship, comfort and even some wet kisses to our terminally ill patients and their families.

Our opportunities are flexible and based upon your availability. Pet team volunteers serve both patients and families in the home and/or nursing facilities within the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

Dogs must be certified through Pet Partners or Therapy Dog International, or similar organizations, and interviewed by our volunteer coordinator. Volunteers must complete the appropriate documentation processed with both the certifying organization and ours, prior to visiting with patients.

Volunteers must also attend our full volunteer training.
