NAAAP SF seeks enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Social Media Manager. This is a unique opportunity for those looking to make a meaningful impact within our organization while gaining valuable experience in social media strategy and execution, especially in community engagement. As a Social Media Manager, you will work closely with our team to promote our organization’s mission.

Responsibilities: Social Media Content Creation & Management:

  • Create and manage a social media content calendar that highlights our offerings, brand story, and thought leadership ensuring copyright, privacy and related policies are adhered to.

  • Produce engaging written, visual, and video content for platforms like Facebook and Instagram, encouraging discussions, user-generated content, and create spaces for knowledge-sharing and networking.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop event materials, including invitations, flyers, and presentations.

  • Leverage the latest social media trends and community platform innovations to enhance user experience.

Qualifications

  • Available to work 5 hours/week (schedule may fluctuate and is flexible)

  • Available to work in Pacific Time Zone

  • 2+ years of professional hands-on social media planning and management experience and building, managing and optimizing social campaigns on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit and Youtube.

  • Competent Experience with social media monitoring and management tools for publishing and reporting.

  • Solid design skills and experience using Canva to create consistent and engaging visual and video content.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.

  • Exceptional writing, proof reading and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Description

NAAAP is a national 501(c) 3 non-profit, non-partisan association for individual members, corporate and other partners who support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for Asian American Pacific Islander professionals. Along with our 25+ active chapters in North America, NAAAP-National recruits, develops, supports, and celebrates diverse individuals through an online job board, ERG leadership training, a women's leadership program, a LGBTQ+ program, self-care and wellness curriculum, annual national Leadership Convention, regional workshops, mentorship, and community service. Chapters are run by all volunteers, while NAAAP-National is run by one paid executive director and a team of 30 volunteers.
