Teach student what you wish you would've learned in school! JA Finance Park provides middle & high school students with a hands-on simulation that lets students experience what adulthood might be like. The simulation issues each student a life scenario, giving them a career, salary, credit score, and family situation. Then, the students set their savings, budget for month, and try to stay within that budget, paying all the bills while balancing needs versus wants. This is where we need volunteers like you! Each group of 4-7 students needs a volunteer to offer expertise and guidance about everyday life as an adult. No teaching experience needed! JA provides a one hour training on the day you volunteer so there is no prior preparation required. Volunteer opportunities are on the following dates at the Pikes Peak United Way Family Success Center and Fountain Middle School, from 8:30am-1:30pm. Sign up at https://bit.ly/JAFPVolunteer.
