We Are The Others (WATO) is a USA dedicated 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to providing support and resources to individuals in need. Our mission revolves around being a trusted resource hub while fostering a community where everyone feels valued, supported, and seen.

Role: Volunteer Social Media Content Creator (Volunteer)

Location: Remote- must be USA based

Role Overview: We Are The Others is seeking a dedicated Content Creator to join our team. This remote role involves creating content for our social media channels to grow our online presence. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, graphic design skills, copywriting, video editing, and understanding of how different content is needed for different platforms.

Key Responsibilities (here are some ideas of what this role does):

  • Create visually appealing and impactful social media posts that align with WATO’s mission and values.
  • Develop content strategies tailored to each platform to effectively engage our audience.
  • Collaborate with the WATO team to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies as needed to maximize reach and impact.
  • Stay updated on current trends in social media marketing to keep WATO's presence fresh and relevant.
  • Consistency and follow through to make sure we have ongoing content going out daily. (Content can be batch created).

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and/or Bluesky.
  • Excellent writing skills with attention to grammar, tone, and storytelling.
  • Creative mindset with experience in graphic design or visual content creation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating virtually with the team.
  • A passion for supporting individuals in need and promoting community welfare.
  • Must be USA based and the minimum age of 16.
