Join us for an important food pantry distribution in Echo Park, serving over 100 people! This is our last distribution of the holiday season so we'd love to see you there!
Why: Each week St. Athanasius Episcopal Church partners with Seeds of Hope to address food insecurity in our community. As a volunteer you will help attendees in a positive, direct, and hands-on way.
Who: Seeds of Hope is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles which seeks to Cultivate Wellness in our community. We provide garden-based nutrition education and practical cooking instruction to help our friends and neighbors live healthier. We also work with congregations, communities, and schools to transform unused land in to productive, lovely gardens and orchards to provide fresh and nutritious food in areas of need across the six-county diocese
What to Expect:Your volunteer role will be greeting and distributing food to community members at one of our stations. You may also help with replenishing food at each of our stations.
What's Required: Please dress comfortably and wear closed toed shoes.
