Launching in late Fall 2025, Once A Soldier is opening a different kind of thrift store-one built by and for Veterans who are ready to lead, not just show up. This isn’t a charity side project. It’s a mission with muscle, and we’re looking for male and female Veterans who want to take control, own their role, and make it mean something.

Founded by Dave Barbush (a civilian with a heart for helping), Once A Soldier supports families left behind after veteran suicide-especially the women and children. This store will be an extension of that mission: fully veteran-powered, purpose-driven, and ready to help not just after the suicide, but before. That's where you come in.

Thrift retail is leaner than traditional retail, giving you room to build something real. You’ll have the freedom to run your section, your way-while contributing to a larger fight worth showing up for. I want to host Veteran-centric events of all sizes. I want to make the community stronger.

Location: Final spot TBD-we’re actively scouting in San Jose, Orange Park, St. Augustine, World Golf Village, and St. Johns. Some areas resist thrift stores, but we’re not stopping until we find the right fit.

If you’re looking for meaning, momentum, and a mission that lets you lead, this is it.
