- Volunteers must commit to two-hours for their participation in the Career Exploration Fair where they will have the opportunity to meet with 3-4 scholars answering their questions. Questions will focus on learnings around your current position or past positions, and career journey
- Sessions are held virtually via our online event platform so volunteers can enjoy participating from the comfort of their home environment. Scholars will book sessions directly with volunteers via our online booking platform.
- 1:1 meeting will include Freshman through Senior Level College Students. Each session is 20 minutes in length and can occur any time between the 2 hour period (10:30am-12:30pm)
- No preparation is needed by volunteers as discussions will be led by our scholars. Questions may be around career journey, company culture, job work: the challenges and rewards, why you chose your career path, how to prepare, etc. We encourage you to be yourself! Reflect on your own journey and ask: What do you wish you knew when you were a young professional?

Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower low-income, first generation college students to graduate and obtain a job that aligns with their career goals.
Description
Our comprehensive program includes four key components:
Scholarships: Each student receives a scholarship of $3,000/year for all four years of college. Our goal is to provide scholars with the necessary funds to allow them to attend the college that is the best fit academically, financially, and socially.
One-to-One Mentoring: We carefully match each scholar with one caring adult who provides support, counsel, friendship, networking, and positive role modeling to help each student complete college. We provide our mentors with on-going training and continuously evaluate and improve our mentoring program. Our goals are to help fill the gaps in knowledge about the college experience that first-generation college students often experience, and provide the support and example that enable our scholars to overcome the challenges on the path to graduation.
Summer Internships: We identify and develop paid and volunteer summer internships for our scholars. Our goals are to expose our students to different career opportunities, help them network for post-graduation careers, and earn income to assist in financing their education.
College Success Workshops: We provide all students with targeted, in-depth workshops to give them the tools for college completion and career readiness. Our goal is to build knowledge and peer support to prepare scholars in each year of college.
