Description
The UCLA Stein Eye Institute’s Center for Community Outreach and Policy, under the direction of Dr. Anne L. Coleman, is dedicated to the principle that all individuals deserve the best vision attainable. Building upon the Institute’s long tradition of community service and leadership at the interface of ophthalmology and public health, the Center conducts vital research in public-health ophthalmology through the UCLA Center for Eye Epidemiology. It provides high-impact community-based services, such as the UCLA Mobile Eye Clinic. The Preschool Vision Screenings and Vision In-School programs of the Center are generously underwritten by the Jules and Doris Stein UCLA Support Group.
