Celebrate Earth Day by rolling up your sleeves and giving back to the neighborhood during the Community Cleanup, a Grand Rapids volunteer event on Saturday, April 26! This is a family-friendly event, and volunteers of all ages are welcome. We’ll start the day at our cleanup site to check in, pick up supplies, and receive instructions. Then we'll head out to clean up streets, parks, and public spaces. After the cleanup, all volunteers are invited to head over to the John Ball Zoo for a well-deserved volunteer appreciation party featuring free food, drinks, and zoo admission.
EVENT SCHEDULE (Saturday, April 26)
9:00am - 9:30am - Meet at your registered site to check in and receive supplies and wristbands.
9:30am - 11:45am - Clean up the neighborhood and drop off trash bags at your designated location. (Exact details will be provided when you check-in)
12:00pm - 3:00pm - Volunteer party at John Ball Zoo!
