Volunteer opportunity: We are looking for youth mentors for our event (Bigs for a Day) for children (Littles) on our waiting list for our program. We will match you 1-1 with a Little or in a small group.
Most of our Littles in our waiting list are Little Brothers, so we especially need Big Brothers.
Activity: Together with your Little we will learn fishing techniques, go fishing and have lunch together. We'll have grilled hot dogs and sides- a vegetarian option will also be available. All equipment and bait will be provided. There's no need to know how to fish. All levels are welcome.
Location: Garfield Park Program Center. Garfield Park Program Center does not have an exact address location but is located within the Garfield Park Reservation (address shown). A small map will be provided with event reminder. And wayfinding signs to location will be up.
Hosted by Cleveland Metroparks Youth Outdoors and in partnership with The Fishing Foundation.

Description
We call our mentors 'Bigs' and the children we serve 'Littles'. Our Bigs and Littles have been making incredible friendships across Greater Cleveland for over 60 years.
