HireLiving is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals achieve sustainable, living-wage employment. Through personalized career coaching, job placement services, and holistic support-including housing, food, and counseling assistance-we empower job seekers to build stable futures. Our mission is funded by recruiting for professional positions with companies in our region.
We are seeking a Board Secretary to support our governance and ensure smooth board operations. This role is primarily volunteer-based but includes opportunities for paid administrative or project-based work as needed. If you have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for making a difference, we’d love to have you on our team!
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate meeting minutes, recordings and noticies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational bylaws and governance policies.
Organize and safeguard important documents, including bylaws, board resolutions, and reports.
- Support communication between board members and executive leadership.
Track action items and ensure timely follow-through on board decisions.
Opportunities for bonus paid work related to administrative support, special projects, or operational needs.
Previous experience as a board secretary, executive assistant, or in a similar administrative role (preferred).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Knowledge of nonprofit governance and compliance (a plus).
