About BECAUSE ANIMALS MATTER

Location:

44 W State St., PO Box 213, HURRICANE, UT 84737, US

Mission Statement

Because Animals Matter (BAM) is dedicated to reducing animal abuse and neglect through education.

Description

BAM was founded in 2006 as there was an obvious need in the community for a pet welfare organization. We serve SW Utah and beyond as a resource for many pet-related issues. BAM is fully funded by donations, wills/ bequests, grants, and through the dedication of volunteers.

  • Adoptable Pet Program - Expanded in late 2016 when BAM absorbed another rescue organization, H.A.R.T. of Utah. Now BAM's H.A.R.T, the program continues to grow and support pets in need with our network of foster parents and our new Schilling Pet Adoption and Community Outreach Center at That BAM Place in downtown Hurricane.
  • Humane Education - BAM aims to enhance the relationships between people and pets through education programs
