Are you a recent high school graduate or college student considering a career in medicine, nursing or the allied health field? If so, you may want to consider becoming a hospice volunteer. As a hospice volunteer you will experience direct patient contact and observe comfort care without curative intent. Our hospice patients reside in nursing homes and memory care facilities, extended care facilities and in their homes. Medical schools and nursing programs seek individuals who are compassionate and dedicated to helping people.

As a volunteer, you will provide companionship and support to individuals who are nearing the end of their life journeys. Over time, you will likely build unforgettable relationships with patients while learing their unique life stories. Each patient's hospice journey is unique and you will have the priviledge of being present during the most private time in their life. A typical visit with a patient may include reading a book or watching a movie together, doing a favorite craft, or simply holding their hand. Our Volunteer Coordinators provide comprehensive training and ongoing support.
