At Choice Health and Hospice we have a great volunteer program. We train and orient here and then walk you through visiting, spending time, and being a compassionate presence to our patients. Many of our patients love a good visit, and someone to talk to.
We also honor our Veterans, their families and want to make them feel that they are thought of, cared for and honored.
We absolutely love our Veterans and want to make them feel important, and that they have our support in this season of their life.
Our patients love visits, love interacting with our volunteers.
Compassionate presence means being in the room. Being present.
If you feel a need to do something purposeful, this could be the right thing for you at this time.

Description
Hospice is a patient-centered approach to improve the quality of life and provide compassionate support for patients and families. Hospice care is focused on maintaining dignity and providing comfort, including pain and symptom management at the end of life when a cure is no longer possible. Also called palliative care, hospice involves the aggressive treatment of physical and emotional pain and symptoms. Hospice affirms life, improves comfort, and does not hasten or postpone death.

- Because we are a medical office with fragile patient information each volunteer (and our staff as well) needs to do a background check, volunteer application, orientation, fingerprinting If you've been fingerprinted in Ok then no worries
