Position: Program Assistant Intern
Location: Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers
Duration: Summer 2025
Hours: part-time, 10-15 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid, Academic Credit Available

About Us:
Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers provide culturally competent comprehensive primary care, and state of the art HIV primary care to low-income members of the community, along with research, consumer education, advocacy, social services and outreach to people living with HIV and those who are at high risk, including family members, communities with high rates of HIV, formerly incarcerated persons, and young people at risk; and access to the most advanced clinical research in HIV treatment and prevention.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Program Assistant Intern to support our community outreach efforts and assist in event planning. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in nonprofit work, public relations, communications, or community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with organizing and promoting community outreach initiatives.
  • Support event planning, coordination, and logistics, including vendor communication and on-site assistance.
  • Conduct outreach to community members, partners, and volunteers.
  • Assist in drafting newsletters, promotional materials, and event announcements.
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Passion for community engagement and event coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
