Granger Lake Park Host

ORGANIZATION: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Granger Lake is seeking park host volunteers for Taylor Park and Wilson H. Fox Park. Park Hosts will assist visitors with questions and complaints and distribute visitor comment cards. Other duties will include making water safety presentations and other interpretive programs on busy weekends for park visitors and handing out water safety items. Hosts will also be responsible for conducting daily inspections of park facilities and reporting by email any maintenance issues to the lake staff. Hosts also landscape entrance complexes, swim beaches and boat ramps, water newly planted vegetation and remove all vegetation from rock areas. Park Hosts will make rounds throughout the day (minimum of 4 per day) checking on camping occupancy and day-use capacity. Parks Hosts may work entrance booths to provide information and distribute passes but but will not collect fees. Hosts will conduct inspections of playgrounds for safety issues and cleanliness, inspect facilities and signs for deterioration and replace signs as needed, and maintain all display boards to keep a fresh and clean appearance. Conduct other various duties as needed to assist visitors. Lodging provided: Campsite/RV Pad with 50/30/20 electric/water/sewer. Volunteer must provide own RV.
