Adult Mentor
ORGANIZATION: YOUTH ARCHIVE
Please visit the new page to apply.

Hey Christian singles!! Come hang out with Palmer's young people in the afternoon! The Youth Archive is a safe place for local youth aged 13 - 24 to hang out, play games and socialize. It's also a place for seasoned adults to hang out with the young! Our hours of operation will be determined by the availability of our volunteers but we focus on afternoon hours. In the month of April, Carol will open only 1 hour to the public and 1 hour to members (those who've signed the insurance waiver). Once we have enough adults to host, we'll expand hours. College kids will have early-afternoons and High School & Middlers will have late-afternoon. If you can play a few hours a week, that would be sweet!
Send us your resume and show off your life! What are the quirky odd-ball jobs & experiences you've had? Put those in. Watch our overview videos on our website to find out more, okay?

About YOUTH ARCHIVE
Location:
918 S COLONY WAY, PALMER, AK 99645, US
Mission Statement
The purpose of the Youth ARC•HIVE is to support the spiritual, mental, and emotional health of all local youth by providing a safe and clean place to socialize and engage in a variety of creative and educational activities under the supervision of mature adults. Our aim is to always speak truth into the lives of young people and enable others to do the same. The corporation's name may be understood as an acrostic: Youth Activity Resource Center • Hope, Integrity, Veritas, Education
Description
We ask every director or volunteer to agree to the same standards of conduct and conversation. The simplest way to do this was to declare the Youth Archive to be a faith-based organization because the Bible has the best behavioral standards on the planet. Mentors must be over 25yo and Game Wardens must be at least 18yo. Please watch our invitation video. You don't need to have any certifications or experience with young people other than the memory of having been one yourself. You need to care and have the courage to try something new! Additionally, Mentors get all the perks of a membership equal to the number of hours you bank as a volunteer. That means for every hour you serve as a mentor in the HIVE, you bank an hour that can be used privately for a scheduled event at another time.
