About Lydia's House of Hope

Location:

21 Grand Street, Somersworth, NH 03878, US

Mission Statement

Seeds of Faith, Inc was founded in 2002. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless and low-income people in the Greater Seacoast Area. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a big dream for helping those who are hopeless, to achieve a state of independence, sustainability, and productivity

Description

Lydia’s House of Hope is designed to empower the residents and move them in a positive direction with accountability and responsibility...from homeless to wholeness.

We have special programs to help build up the mind, body and soul of our women. Some of these programs are nutrition, cooking matters, yoga, boundaries, risk management, health and wellness, financial awareness, budgeting, parenting, sewing and more. We use these programs to build up a new generation of moms that are learning to be independent and capable of caring for themselves and their children. Recently we have graduated three families to independence, helped get driver's licenses and the purchase five vehicles. We finished our attic to make space for more bedrooms for women and their children. We also helped five woman secure full-time career positions removing them from state assistance.
