Volunteer with UDVC!

LINKLine Volunteer

Volunteers serving on the UDVC LINKLine answer incoming calls, providing crisis intervention, resources and referrals, and listening support.

This is a remote position, requiring you live in the state of Utah and have a dependable computer, internet acesss, and a mobile phone. Familiarity with Google Suite is desirable. This position will require 40 hours of training and a background check provided free of charge.

3 Shifts

  • 12:00 AM to 07:00 AM MST - Spots available: 7
    These are on-call shift that are available every day of the week.
  • 03:00 PM to 12:00 AM MST - Spots available: 1
    This is an on call shift available on Saturdays.
  • 07:00 PM to 12:00 AM MST - Spots available: 6
    These are on-call shift that run Monday-Friday and Sunday.

Description

Utah Domestic Violence Coalition is a private non-profit organization recognized nationally for providing expertise concerning issues of domestic and sexual violence to member programs, community partners and others in Utah.

As a 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization, Utah Domestic Violence Coalition is comprised of members from across the state and various disciplines, and a Board of Directors, all of whom are committed to end domestic violence in Utah through advocacy, education, collaboration, and leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • 40 hours of training and at least 5 hours a week.
  • These shifts require you to be available but you will not necessarily get calls every shift. You are welcome to do other activities while on shift as long as you can still answer calls as they come in while keeping them confidential from others.
