This role supports Regional Biomedical Services by enhancing the blood donor experience through excellent customer service. Blood Donor Ambassadors engage donors, promote regular donations, assist with post-donation care, and express gratitude to ensure every donor feels valued. Duties involve in-person activities at Red Cross facilities.
Qualifications
Must be age 13-15 with additional adult supervision* or 16+ (must be mature enough to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to adverse donor reactions)
Ability to display the utmost professionalism and communication skills
Extremely comfortable working with people from diverse communities and backgrounds
Ability to understand the technology needed for the position: Donor Check-in, Donor Tablet, Rapid Pass, Donor App, Book Now, and Ability to explain/teach technology to donors and fellow volunteers
Ability to understand and explain Right Type Mix to donors
Ability to regularly commit to a schedule, arrive punctually and adapt to a change-driven culture
Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
A parent, guardian, sibling, teacher, youth club coordinator, or other adult can provide additional adult supervision
