Do you love to offer support to members of your community? We need you! Do you love to help support big community events a few times a year? We need you! Do you love to work with people one on one? We need you! Do you love to make flyers? We need you! Do you love to make engaging Facebook posts? We need you! The Calaveras County Literacy Program at the Calaveras County Library needs you! Turn your passions into community action. We have a variety of positions and needs that can only be filled by you. We are looking for compassionate, engaging, and supportive people to fill roles in our program. Some of the positions we are currently in need of: One on one learner support Newsletters and social media posts - this can be a virtual opportunity Support for fundraiser events - this can be a small commitment position a few times a year Volunteer training and outreach If you have skills, you think we can use reach out! We are always open to volunteers who know how they can help. We would be happy to meet with you to discuss what makes you a great support for other members of the community.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
