Community-wide clean up for Earth Day where we compete with our neighbors in Sharpsburg to see who can pick up the most trash. You can sign up in advance to clean your street, or you can come to the Etna Borough Buidling (437 Butlet St.) at 8am the morning of the cleanup to receive a street assignment and to get your free supplies (also coffee and donuts!) The first 60 participants to stop by that morning will receive a free Earth Day Challenge t-shirt! We'll clean up from 9 am until noon. All full bags can be left on visible street corners for Etna's Public Works Department to collect. At noon we'll gather on Canal St. in Sharpsburg to celebrate Earth Day with a free lunch for all volunteers!

Description
Etna Community Organization (ECO) began in 2016 as a grassroots initiative to steward the creation of the Etna EcoDistrict Plan. Four years of continuous community engagement culminated in Etna Borough becoming the world’s first Certified EcoDistrict. Today, ECO is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our work focuses on improving the quality of life for all who live, work, and play in Etna, PA. We collaborate with community members, local partners, and regional organizations to realize the vision of the Etna EcoDistrict Plan.
