Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate College Prep Assistant to join our team and help guide teens on their journey to post-high school success. This role is crucial in providing the support, knowledge, and resources young people need to navigate the complex college application and career planning process. If you’re excited to help students achieve their academic and professional dreams, this role is perfect for you!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with College Applications: Provide hands-on support in completing college applications, including reviewing essays, organizing application materials, and meeting submission deadlines.
- Career and College Guidance: Help students explore their interests and career goals, researching college programs, scholarships, financial aid, and other post-secondary options that align with their ambitions.
- SAT/ACT and Test Prep Support: Guide students on test preparation resources and study strategies for college admissions exams.
- Workshop and Event Assistance: Support the planning and execution of college readiness workshops, financial aid info sessions, and campus tours.
- Individual Mentoring: Build strong, supportive relationships with teens to encourage their progress and address any challenges they face during the application process.
Requirements:
- Passion for helping teens succeed and navigate post-high school pathways.
- Knowledge of the college admissions process, scholarships, and financial aid.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Background in education, counseling, or a related field is a plus.
- Commitment to working with teens from diverse backgrounds and supporting equitable access to education.

Founded in 2014, The Be. Org (Be.) is a 501(c)3 youth empowerment organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of students in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. We provide innovative out of school time and enrichment programming for youth of all ages. At Be., we invest in our students by providing them with the tools to become self-empowered, emotionally intelligent, and college/career ready. Our curriculum and programming combine social emotional learning, STEM enrichment, and leadership development to engage students who need additional support academically and socially, with a strong focus on transferable skills needed for lifelong success.
