ORGANIZATION: CHAMBER OF US

Are you a data nerd, internet sleuth, or researcher who loves finding patterns, organizing information, and discovering who’s out there doing important work?

We’re looking for an Open Data Research & Mapping Volunteer to help us build the world’s first living, structured database of social impact organizations - starting with sustainability, education, and health sectors.

What We’re Building:

At The Chamber of Us (TCUS), we believe that the best solutions to global challenges already exist - but they’re scattered, disconnected, or hard to find.

We want to change that by creating an open, searchable database of changemakers worldwide.

You’ll help us design and prototype the first version of this database by researching, scraping, and organizing information about organizations working toward systemic change.

What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a volunteer who can:

* Conduct online research to identify nonprofits, projects, and social enterprises working in sustainability, education, and health

* Use open data sources, APIs, advanced Google search operators, or web scraping tools

* Structure and clean the data in Google Sheets, Airtable, or similar platforms

* Tag organizations by focus area, geography, mission, and scale

* Collaborate with TCUS team members to connect this research to partnerships, project matching, and strategy

* Help lay the groundwork for an AI-assisted global changemaker directory (Libelle.io)

* (Optional) Support basic data visualization or mapping projects later

Who You Are:

* Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and internet research

* Skilled in Python, web scraping, API integration, or open data research

* Organized and detail-oriented

* Curious about who is out there doing real, systemic work

* Bonus: Experience with OSINT, civic tech, or social impact research

* Bonus: Interest in sustainability, education, global health, or nonprofit tech

Why Volunteer With Us:

* Apply your research & technical skills to a meaningful, global project

* Help create a resource that doesn’t yet exist but the world needs

* Flexible, remote contribution - no rigid time commitment

* Be part of a small, ambitious, and mission-driven team

* Gain experience in open data research, digital ecosystem mapping, and systems strategy

About The Chamber of Us:

The Chamber of Us (TCUS) is a nonprofit using technology, data, and creative collaboration to address global challenges in sustainability, education, and health. Our digital initiatives include Recipe Empire and Libelle.io, designed to connect people, projects, and systems for systemic change.
