Are you someone who loves clean spreadsheets, organized data, and making sure information is accurate and easy to use?
We’re looking for a Community Data Steward (Volunteer) to help us maintain, structure, and manage our growing database of volunteers, contributors, and community members at The Chamber of Us (TCUS) - including key initiatives like Recipe Empire and Libelle.io.
What We’re Building:
TCUS is a nonprofit addressing global challenges in sustainability, education, and health through digital tools and community-driven initiatives. As we grow, we’re collecting more volunteer information, contributor profiles, skills data, and project participation records.
We need someone who can help us keep that data organized, clean, and meaningful - so we can build better systems, match people to projects, and make decisions based on clear, reliable information.
What You’ll Do:
We’re looking for a volunteer who can:
* Organize and maintain structured databases of volunteers, contributors, and project participants
* Tag volunteers by skills, availability, and interests
* Track contributor activity and capacity
* Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with consent preferences
* Collaborate with operations, technical, and outreach teams
* Support the development of lightweight reporting and data dashboards
* Help prepare structured data for future automation, matching, and engagement efforts
Who You Are:
* Comfortable working with spreadsheets, Google Sheets, Airtable, or CRM tools
* Detail-oriented, organized, and data-savvy
* Proactive in maintaining clean, structured, well-documented information
* Collaborative and mission-driven
* Bonus: Experience in data stewardship, CRM management, or community operations
* Bonus: Interest in food systems, education, sustainability, or social impact projects
Why Volunteer With Us:
* Apply your data skills to meaningful, real-world projects
* Help lay the foundation for a scalable, ethical volunteer engagement system
* Flexible, remote contribution - no rigid time commitment
* Be part of a small, collaborative team working on systemic change
* Gain experience in data management and community operations
