Chicago Cat Rescue seeks skilled photographers to take photos of our cats and kittens. CCR photographers needn't be professional photographers, but experience with photographing cats is important to help catch the essence of our beautiful felines, and to help them find their forever homes. CCR is a foster based organization, which means that our cats and kittens are housed in private foster homes. Our photographers are responsible for scheduling photo shoots with our foster parents in our foster parents' homes. All our foster families reside in Chicago. Foster home boundaries are: Roosevelt Rd./South Loop to the south, Howard St. to the north, and Pulaski Rd. to the west. Photos are then posted online, for use by other volunteers. The sooner we have beautiful pictures of our cats, the sooner we can help our cats find loving homes!

Mission Statement
Chicago Cat Rescue is dedicated to helping homeless cats through rescue, adoption, and the education of their human companions.
Description
Founded in 1996 by a small group of willful women, Chicago Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster based, not-for-profit cat rescue. Whether they come to us from the streets or high-kill facilities, our goals remain the same; to meet our cats' medical, physical and emotional needs, and to place them in GOOD homes-for-life. All our cats are cared for in loving, private foster homes. Our foster parents attend to not only our cats' daily needs, but the information they gain about our cats' personalities and temperaments is of invaluable assistance as we work to place our cats in forever homes. All of CCR's resources are obtained via our fundraising efforts, and our overhead is minimal. Almost all our dollars go toward food and medical care for our cats. CCR offers volunteers a plethora of volunteer opportunities, from signing on to become a Foster Parent Extraordinaire, to event planning and participation, fundraising, creative writing, photography, grant writing and accounting - to name a few! As we are all volunteers, Chicago Cat Rescue takes enormous pride in the value and meaning of volunteerism. If you have a love for animals, please contact us to discuss how your interests and talents can benefit the homeless cats of Chicago!
