Kathmandu Summit Adventure offers a variety of high school volunteer programs tailored for high school students seeking to combine adventure with meaningful community service in Nepal. High school volunteer programs provide an immersive experience, allowing participants to engage in local culture, contribute to community development, and explore Nepal's stunning landscapes.

High School Volunteer Program Highlights:
  • Teaching English in Schools and Monasteries: Volunteers assist local educators by teaching English to children in public and private schools, as well as to young monks in Buddhist monasteries. This effort enhances students' language skills, opening doors to better educational and employment opportunities.
  • Healthcare and Medical Internships: Participants with medical or nursing backgrounds support local health professionals in clinics and outreach programs, delivering essential care to underserved communities. Responsibilities may include assisting doctors, observing treatments, and participating in health camps.
  • Environmental Conservation Projects: Volunteers engage in activities such as reforestation, wildlife monitoring, and educating communities on sustainable practices, contributing to the preservation of Nepal's diverse ecosystems.
  • Community Development Initiatives: These projects focus on enhancing local infrastructure, promoting health and sanitation, and empowering communities through skill development and capacity-building activities. Volunteers collaborate with residents to identify needs and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Construction and Renovation Projects: Volunteers contribute to improving local infrastructure by participating in construction and renovation projects. This may involve building schools, community centers, or improving sanitation facilities, directly benefiting local communities.
  • Creative Arts and Child Development Program: Participants engage children in creative arts, fostering their development and providing a safe space for expression. Activities may include art projects, music, dance, and drama workshops.
High School Volunteer Programs Adventure Components:

  • Cultural Tours: Explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Boudhanath Stupa, gaining insights into Nepal's spiritual and historical significance.
  • Trekking Expeditions: Embark on treks through the Annapurna Range, experiencing breathtaking Himalayan vistas and engaging with mountain communities to understand their unique challenges and lifestyles.
