About Angels at Bat:
Angels at Bat is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit based in the United States that aims to grow the game of baseball in African countries. Since 2012, Angels at Bat has focused on the collection and distribution of equipment , most of which is completely unavailable to players throughout the continent. However, recent growth has highlighted the need for additional efforts (field construction, funding, competitions, etc.) which we are motivated to support!
Position Overview:Angels at Bat is seeking a passionate and results-driven Volunteer Fundraising Officer to help with all aspects of our fundraising efforts. This individual will be responsible for helping in developing and executing fundraising strategies, securing financial support, and cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, and (potentially) grant providers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support Angels at Bat’s mission and programs.
Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, grant agencies, and philanthropic foundations.
Potentially research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding.
Plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns and initiatives to increase donor engagement and financial contributions.
Suport the maintenance of donor databases, ensuring accurate records of contributions and donor communications.
Collaborate to create fundraising materials, social media campaigns, and outreach efforts.
Monitor fundraising performance and track prgoress.
Help us stay informed about fundraising trends, donor engagement strategies, and best practices in nonprofit development.
Experience in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Experience in fundraising campaign execution.
Passion for Angels at Bat’s mission and a strong commitment to making a difference.

Learning the game of baseball teaches the players a variety of life lessons that allows them to become overall better, well-rounded individuals. As an organization, we hope that our donation of "set-aside" equipment and support of baseball activities can allow children throughout Africa to have the opportunity to learn these important lessons and experience new opportunities.
