We are seeking volunteers who love to serve, and are inspired by the transform of spiritual spaces, to help us raise critical funds for our restoration project.
We are underway in the process of renewing, restoring, and renovating our historical church building. We are thrilled that we get to be a part of the metamorphosis into a fully realized temple and sacred place of joy and worship for the community.
We have a few essential projects for repairing and improving our historic building. Volunteers are needed who have experience in imagining and executing fundraising strategies.
Creativity, resourcefulness, communication skills and the ability to make community connections are all valuable qualities for the fundraising volunteer.
The restoration projects we have are a significant and important goal for us that will define our building, and we are hoping to engage with the community as we bring forth restoration and development of our Community Center, which is for the benefit and enjoyment of all!
Volunteers are provided all meals of plentiful, nourishing, delicious food while participating.
We look forward to the opportunity to meet and serve with you!

Mission Statement
Krishna Community Center is a sacred space where all are welcome to come and explore their spiritual path. With a focus on living the ancient wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, we offer a loving environment that serves others. We aim to add harmony and peace into the world by walking the spiritual path to God together.
Description
Our Grand Rapids International Society of Krishna Consciousness congregation has grown steadily since its beginnings in 2011, and in August 2024, we opened our new temple space and hall, Krishna Community Center.
Our building is a historical church, where we now host all of our three major weekly programs: Transcendental Tuesdays- Devotional book study group, Thursday Night Kirtan- Singing and chanting, and Sunday Feast- Bhagavad Gita discussion, worship service, and community dinner.
We have a youth group program called Gopal Garden that meets every Sunday, and engages children and teenagers in our Vedic curriculum of teachings, spiritual truth, and devotional practices.
We also hold weekly online study groups and in-person home programs. We organize faith-based, family-friendly cultural festivals celebrating Lord Krishna, including the famous Rath Yatra.
Our goal is to share profound practices that will create positive changes and happiness from the inside out. We are excited to keep expanding our reach and serving the Grand Rapids community, feeding all with love, care, respect, and an atmosphere of family and unity.
